11/4/2020 11 Comments While We WaitSo I was thinking about the election. Aren't we all? 2020 has been an extraordinary year. It has been filled with much loss, fear, disappointment, confusion, anxiety, and much of that has been in the last few weeks! The presidential race has been a LOT to process. The last 4 years have been a lot for that matter. This administration assisted in bringing to light America's true colors...
In addition to what we have been experiencing collectively as a nation, many of us have also encountered personal adversities that have caused us to more actively, intentionally, and creatively seek and hold on to peace. I'd like to share with you a few things that have kept me sane this year and continue to do so while we wait on the outcome of the election.

In addition to all of the things in your list (although, my book purchases have been on audible), going outside every single day for at least 30 minutes has been a God Send!! Most of the time i go for a walk, and then walk around barefoot outside in my yard! Sometimes i listen podcasts, the books i mentioned, music, and even silence on my walks too. A game changer indeed!

When I’m stressed... I love to make a good hearty soup... it’s something about the warmth, the thickness and the seasonings of a good ole stew! I got a pot on now 😂😂😂

I love going for walks too. I wish the weather here permitted me to do it more often. I've def gotten out this week though!

Riding a bike, walking, sitting inside or outside by a fire, praying, taking in any available sunlight and having good friends with listening ears (and Fort Knox-quality sealed mouths) to air out all my grievances--and being there for them in the same manner! Also, snuggling with my daughters and making sure we have our girlie time.

I bought a bike right before the weather started getting cold and I haven't ridden it yet. 🤦🏾♀️

Zero judgment here. I've thought about riding it more times than I actually rode it LOL!
