Let’s Go Back

So I was thinking about how saying thank you seems so rare nowadays. More than that, the overall concept of being considerate appears to have been left in centuries past. It’s not uncommon for people to say whatever they want, however they want, without thinking first, and treat people horribly, all under the guise of keeping it “real” or being “100”. It’s normal for a person to be self-centered and narcissistic, then label it as self-love. Being petty is now considered an hilarious badge of honor, when most times it’s a cover-up for being mean spirited and rude. We give tardiness cute little pet names like “CP time” or being “fashionably late”, when the fact is we just don’t give a rat’s (bleeeeeeeep) about wasting another person’s time or honoring their wishes.
Sometimes I just wish that we could go back to the good ol’ days. We need to be better humans. And that’s all I have to say about that.
