At times I have stuff on my mind that I want to share. It doesn't always warrant a phone call or text to friends, but often it IS something I need to get off my chest beyond a journal entry. So, here we are. Welcome to my random thoughts. Enjoy!

A Billy

So I was thinking about what I would do with 1.6 billion dollars. First of all, I wasn't even sure exactly what 1.6 billion was. I had to ask to confirm whether or not it was 1 billion 600 million or 1 billion 600 thousand. Heck, I'm not well versed in counting all those zeroes and thangs! Anyway, ever since I heard that the Powerball was the largest ever, I've been doing calculations. Fantasizing...okay let me stop playing, I was seriously planning as if I already had the money or knew that I was going to win. All of this and I did not buy NAN ticket! SMH, I still had huge plans for all that cash though. My calculations revealed that after taxes, I'd STILL have over a billion dollars! Can you imagine all of sudden becoming a billionaire just from buying a $2 lottery ticket?! Talk about starting from the bottom! I'd be hesitant to tell anybody right away. I would need a deposit to hit my bank and clear first, then I need security, a financial planner, and a travel agent on stand-by!
I thought it would be fun to share some of the things I would do with all that money. Check it out and tell me, in the comments, what you would do with a billion bucks.
  1. I would split 10% up between 3 churches. I'd give to the church where I grew up from the age of 12, the church I attended for about 8 years after I left there, and then to my current church home. They have all had tremendous impact on my life and it would be my pleasure to bless them in that way. I'm certain that they would in turn use the funds to, not only take care of bills, but to bless others.
  2. About 350 million dollars would be split between my family and friends, with the largest amount going to my parents for them to get their dream house, car, and to wipe out any debt, including my father's medical bills. The money for my family would also include paying for JR's education and the education of all my nieces and nephew, or whatever positive and constructive endeavor they decide to pursue. My siblings would be set, a few other family members, and if you're reading this and you're my FRIEND FRIEND, you'd be set too. 😉
  3. Of course, with the remaining money, I would clear ALL my debt. Then I'd buy a house, car, travel the world, and invest in real estate. I'm interested in opening some type of shelter/rehab center/soup kitchen. I want to feed people, get them off the streets, take care of their mental/physical health, and get them trained for the workforce. Not to mention I'd have the freedom to go after all my dreams without worrying about money; two of those dreams are to be a writer (books, TV, film) and a private investigator.
Thankfully some of these things are attainable without me being a billionaire, so I'll keep dreaming. It just takes a lot of work, faith, dedication, consistency, and motivation...at least until that next big jackpot. I'll actually buy a ticket next time! 🙂

Ooooooowee! Glad I’m your “FRIEND friend”! Lolol!! I played at work with the office pool juuuuuuust in case we won. After hearing how a group of co-workers won the lottery while watching the news a few months ago, I’ve been led to participate. Lol!

I would give to a few churches,at least 10.I would take quite a few homeless off the street, buy them a new house and car,and pay their bills for a year.!!I would give all my family money, especiailly my immediate family!!!(Son and daughters)and grandkids!!!Give to Charities!!!Build me my dream home, and get my dream car,and live the rest of our life, without worrying about bills, and not have to look at prices, when I shop!!!
